content policy

Rough Ropes publishes adult fiction for adults. These rules apply to every story, title, tag and page on this site, and to everything we send readers to on Ream.

what we publish

• Fiction about adult men. Every character is 18 or older, and the age is stated.
• Consent on the page. Each scene shows a clear yes, and a way to stop.
• Invented names and invented places. No real people.
• Teasers that stay clean. Explicit chapters are not on this site.

what we never publish

• Anyone under 18, in any role, setting or flashback.
• Sex without clear consent, or with a partner who cannot give it.
• Family members as partners, including step relations.
• Animals or non-human creatures as partners.
• Real people, living or dead, or real brands used as characters.
• Drugs or alcohol in a scene, and injury, blood or cruelty.

how we check

A person reads every story before it goes live. Every story is also checked by an automatic word list. A story that fails either check does not publish. We keep a record of each story, its character ages and who reviewed it.

report a problem

If you think something here breaks these rules, tell us on the contact page, or email info@roughropes.com. We read every report. Content that breaks these rules is removed within 7 days.
